My UKG pic! (Left most; First row standing)
LKG to 10th - I spent 12 wonderful years donning this uniform at All Saints High School. Run by the Montfort Brothers, All Saints is the oldest school in Hyderbad and one of the best covents here. Apart from the academic curriculum, it is also known for two other things. One, for the brilliant cricketers (Mohammed Azharuddin, Arshad Ayub, Venkatpathi Raju, Noel David, Syed Kirmani, V.V.S. Laxman et al) it has produced. And two, for being the proud neighbours of the finest girl's school in town - Rosary Convent ;-)
My school motto was 'Virtus Sola Nobilitat' which means 'Virtue Alone Ennobles'. And true to its motto, it taught me the best things that I have ever learned. School days invariably make you nostalgic and am glad I had the opportunity to attend this wonderful school.
Also a mention of Sadar Sir, under whose guidance my career plans took shape and materialised. He was a very strong influencing factor that led to me being admitted to Ramaiah and then to IIT.
11th and 12th - called junior college here - were spent at St. Mary's Junior College. Another hep college. Less acads and more fun. But to compensate for this were the Ramaiah classes for JEE coaching. This was an experience, I tell you! They use to start at 4.00 am in morning. Sharp!
My teachers - Mrs. Solomon, Mrs. Lakshmi Krishnan, Mr. Michael Monterio, Bakshi Sir, Sadat Sir, Surendranath Sir, Koteshwar Rao Sir.
