This section is a collection of my experiences at work.
ITC Limited
After graduating from IIT Bombay in the summer of 2005, I worked with ITC Limited - Foods Business Division as Asst. Manager for 9 months. ITC was my first job.
I spent the first 6 months undergoing AUT training program in 3 cigarette manufacturing plants and 7 food factories all over India. The next 3 were spent in setting up and stabilising a INR 200 million greenfield biscuit plant with 30,000 TPA capacity in Chennai. In the 9 months that I spent with ITC, I travelled to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Pondicherry, Munger (Bihar) and Tahliwal (HP). No wonder I got frequent flyer accounts with all airlines. The only city in India that I missed from the big-6 was my own home town Hyderabad!
Some of my very memorables moments with ITC include 5 star induction in Kolkata, out-bound in Raichak, conference room sessions in B2 Bangalore, parties, snooker and golf in Munger, frequent presentations in Kidderpore, guesthouse food in Bangalore, rains, long hours, cab rides and biscuits in Chennai.
For the records, here is one page profile from 2005 for ITC's new joinees directory. Read First Year in First Job.
Opera Solutions
In mid 2006, I joined Opera Solutions, a boutique management consulting firm, as a Business Analyst. I was Opera's first employee in India office - extensively working for firm development. My most fun project was turning around a bleeding publishing house that was acquired by a private equity firm for $2.4 billion. We saved over $200 million for the publishing house by scripting a $1.4 billion outsourcing deal that was an industry first for North America.
While at Opera, I worked in 4 countries and partied in 2 more across 3 continents. When I quit Opera two years later, the firm was fifty people strong - a phenomenal growth by consulting standards.

from Opera, after which I stopped creating any for a while.
Chaupaati Bazaar
In 2008, I joined my friend Kashyap as Chaupaati's first employee and stake holder. We are out on a fun and adventurous journey to create something ground-breaking. Visit our
